Course Description:
Successful periodontal surgery relies on several factors, and one that is often overlooked are the materials we use in different surgical situations. This seminar provides a comprehensive review of different bone grafts, membranes, and biologics that are used in periodontal regenerative procedures and an overview on how to approach complications when they occur.
Course Objectives:
Participants in the seminar will:

Learn to differentiate between different regenerative materials and their indications of use;

Learn to formulate strategies on how to manage various surgical complications; and

Discuss non-surgical maintenance options necessary for long term success.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Sam Shamardi earned his DMD at Tufts University and his Periodontal certificate at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery and practices full-time while teaching part-time at the Harvard Division of Periodontics. Dr. Shamardi lectures nationally and internationally on topics within periodontics, hearing loss in dentistry, finance, non-surgical maintenance and more, and has published multiple articles. He is a member of the prestigious Catapult Education Speakers Bureau and is recognized as a dental entrepreneur for his revolutionary EarAid product. He is also the author of The Financial Survival Guide for Dentists, a book geared towards helping early career dental professionals establish a foundation in the business aspect of their careers. In his spare time, Dr. Shamardi enjoys traveling and supporting his favorite team Real Madrid.
Cancellation policy: For cancellations that occur at least 21 days prior to the start of the course, tuition refund less a $25 cancellation fee will be issued. No refunds will be issued for cancellations that occur after this deadline.
